Something amazing happens when you go into a cocoon. It shuts out the outside world. And the deeper you go into it, spinning the walls around you, the more separation there is between you and the outside world or whatever the influence was that sent you to the cocoon.
With more separation, you begin to see that you are not them at all. You begin to see that the influence is not you and has nothing to do with you. The darkness of the cocoon gives you the chance to see YOUR light. When your light has been so dimmed by the world, you must be in a very dark place to see it. And when you finally see it, the cocoon allows you to explore it without the outside world getting in the way. Just you and the light.
When you finally feel the love coming from the light, you know that it is who you truly are, not the darkness. Not the sadness, unworthiness, loneliness, hate, fear or betrayal. You are the light.
Once you see the difference between the outside world and you, you can see how you allowed the outside world to effect you. You can begin the healing, and the loving, and the forgiving. You can begin to create a new life of your making, with your choices.
Coming out of the cocoon means taking responsibility for your life. Owning your life, honoring you as a divine being and allowing it to be the loving existence you are meant to live. By joyfully sharing your story and your life with others, you allow them to let their light shine.
What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, God calls the butterfly.
